Winemaker: Agricole Rizzello Cellino San Marco, Puglia

Wine Notes:

The elegant smoothness...makes this the undisputed Jewel of Puglia; extraordinary and incredible red wine is recognized in the region as the gem of the collection in southern Italy.

The continued pursuit of perfect harmony rings in this Negroamaro, its successful synthesis. Elegance, body, balance, complexity, and persistence, give a particular "Verve" to this wine and makes it unique, recognizable among others, giving an exclusive emotion of velvety and elegant pleasantness to those who taste it. This amazing wine, that for generations was a relatively unknown secret, hails from Puglia, which stretches over 220 miles to Italy's heel–tip, and this wine hails from the regions center of attention and renowned wine producing region of Salento; and is part of an assortment of wines that have been researched and developed over many, many years to accentuate the intrinsic value of the Puglia region where the Negroamaro grape is its jewel.

Winemaker Notes:

At sight a compact deep ruby red color leaning towards an intense dark purple. On the nose it is big and wide with a bold floral bouquet, peppery notes and pleasant cocoa accents. The taste is fruit–forward, smooth and well balanced, while having a potent and aggressive, yet soft and fruity taste with a delicious, long, structured and fulfilling finish.

This wine can be enjoyed young, but becomes more refined for 6–8 years.

At its best when opened or decanted 30 to 45 minutes or longer prior to serving.

Pairing:

Pairs well with roasted or grilled meats, pasta, fried fish and shellfish, and spicy dishes.
