Merlot grows throughout Sicily, and is known as "il Sannino" by farmers and vintners of the region. The grapes of this wine are harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.

Winemaker Notes:

At sight this wine is a deep garnet, ruby red color, nearer to a dark blue or black. On the nose it is full and inviting, with a herbaceous yet delicate bouquet, with ample amounts of red fruits and flowers. The taste is full-bodied and smooth with hints of toasted vanilla, nicely tannic and well-balanced. This wine shows the exceptional quality produced in Sicily today. Wines from this appellation are usually suited to moderate aging, and may also be drunk young.

At its Best when opened or decanted 45 minutes or longer prior to serving.
