Growing Conditions: 2004 featured an early bud break following a serious April frost. A warm, pleasant summer with harvest beginning slightly later than normal. Lower than normal yields produced lush, incredibly rich wines.
Tasting Notes: A full-bodied, ripe on the palate reigned in by sweet oak tannins. Bright, fairly opaque ruby with vivacious aromas of blueberries and raspberries, the wine is seamless with a long-red-fruit-imbued, spicy finish.
Cellaring: Our 2005 Stargazer is readily approachable right now and will age beautifully to 2013.
